SMS gateways: the dealer's own sender name, on every code and confirmation.

An AI agent that books appointments and verifies phone numbers sends a lot of short messages: the one-time code, the booking confirmation with the map link, the rebook when the workshop moves a slot, the fallback when WhatsApp does not deliver. Salesteq sends them through the SMS gateway the dealer already has, under the dealer's registered sender name, never under ours.

What the messages are

  • 01One-time code before a lead, a test drive or a service booking is recorded, so the phone number is the customer's. In Arabic or English, with the brand's wording.
  • 02Booking confirmation with date, time, branch and a short map link; the same when the customer moves or cancels.
  • 03Rebook notice when the workshop has to move a slot, for a whole branch at once if needed.
  • 04Fallback for the phone menu: a caller who asked for the booking link on WhatsApp but has no WhatsApp receives the link by SMS shortly after.
  • 05Nothing promotional. Marketing to quiet leads runs on WhatsApp templates, where the customer can answer.

What Saudi SMS requires, and what Salesteq does about it

Alphanumeric sender names in Saudi Arabia have to be registered on every network before messages are delivered, and some gateways deliver only message texts that were whitelisted in advance. Salesteq works inside those rules rather than around them.

Each brand sends under its own registered sender name and credentials, read from the brand's integration at send time; a BMW customer never receives a message signed by another brand in the group. Where a gateway whitelists templates, the agent's texts are the registered ones, in Arabic and English. Links in SMS use the brand's own short domain, because operators filter messages by the domain in the link. Arabic confirmations are written to fit one 70-character segment, so a branch with hundreds of bookings a day pays for one message per booking, not two. Delivery is confirmed on a handset before a new template ships, since a gateway accepting a message is not the same as the customer receiving it.

Outside Saudi Arabia

In Europe, Central and South Asia the same code and confirmation flow runs through Twilio or through the dealer's existing gateway, and most of the traffic moves to WhatsApp where the customer is already there. Infobip and Twilio also serve as WhatsApp Business API providers for dealers who run their WhatsApp number with them; the agent, inbox and integrations are the same on every transport.

Questions about SMS gateways

Which SMS gateways does Salesteq support?+

Unifonic, Taqnyat and Mobishastra in production in Saudi Arabia, Twilio for other markets, and Infobip and Twilio as WhatsApp Business API providers. Another gateway is a connector, not a project; ask.

Do messages go out under our sender name?+

Yes, always. Each brand's codes and confirmations are sent with that brand's registered sender name and credentials. Salesteq has no sender name of its own in customer-facing SMS.

What about per-template whitelisting?+

Where a gateway whitelists message texts, the agent sends exactly the registered templates, in Arabic and English. We prepare the texts with you and test delivery on a handset before they go live.

Can the SMS carry a link to the booking page?+

Yes, as a short link on your own domain. Operators filter SMS links by domain, so the domain is tested on a Saudi handset before the template ships.

Can we replace SMS with WhatsApp?+

For most messages, yes: confirmations and reminders go out as WhatsApp utility templates where the customer has WhatsApp. SMS stays as the one-time-code channel and as the fallback when WhatsApp does not deliver.
