Call analytics for car dealerships: what to measure on every sales and service call.

A dealership's phone lines carry its most valuable conversations: the buyer comparing two showrooms, the service customer with a warning light, the complaint that becomes a review. Most of them are never measured. Call analytics for dealers means every call transcribed, scored against the dealer's own standards and searchable, so managers see what was missed and who needs coaching. Salesteq's product for this is CallScope.

Why dealers measure calls at all

Quality assurance in most dealer contact centres is a manager listening to a handful of calls a week. That sample cannot tell a branch manager whether trade-ins are being offered, whether finance figures are quoted correctly or which advisor loses buyers on the first call.

Automatic transcription and scoring change the unit from a sample to every call. The question moves from 'was this call good' to 'what do our calls miss, where, and who needs help'.

What a dealer scorecard checks

  • 01Sales calls: greeting and name, needs analysis, the model and trim discussed, buying timeframe, trade-in offered, finance basics explained, next step booked.
  • 02Service calls: problem understood, vehicle identified, appointment offered, price and duration explained, follow-up promised.
  • 03Finance and documents: figures specific and correct for the model, key caveats disclosed (tax, insurance, final payment, warranty).
  • 04Complaints: the customer heard out, ownership taken, a concrete next step and a time.

From scores to sales

The value is in the misses. A service customer who says they are thinking of changing the car and is never offered a trade-in. A buyer who asked for a finance quote and never got a call back. A complaint that nobody owned. Call analytics flags each on the call where it happened, with the recording at that second, and rolls them up per branch, queue and advisor.

Satisfaction and sentiment from every call

A survey hears from the few who answer it. Scorecard questions such as 'was the customer satisfied at the end' or 'did the mood turn' are answered on every call, so satisfaction can be followed per branch and advisor across all calls.

Coaching that uses the calls

Each advisor's scores over time, the questions they miss most and the two calls worth listening to together turn a monthly review into a fifteen-minute coaching session with evidence.

What to ask a vendor

  • 01Does it work next to our contact centre (Webex Contact Center, Genesys Cloud) or from recordings, without replacing it?
  • 02How accurate is it in our customers' language and dialect, measured on real dealer calls?
  • 03Can we write our own scorecards, per call type?
  • 04Does it show the moment in the recording, or only a score?
  • 05Where are recordings and transcripts hosted, and who can see them?

Questions about call analytics for dealers

What is call analytics for a car dealership?+

Software that transcribes every sales and service call, scores it against the dealer's own standards and makes it searchable, so managers see missed opportunities, complaints and coaching needs across all calls instead of a manual sample.

Which call analytics tool is built for car dealers?+

Salesteq's CallScope is built for dealerships and importers: dealer scorecards for sales, service, complaints and finance, dialect-aware Arabic and English, and connections to Webex Contact Center and Genesys Cloud. It runs today in a Saudi multi-brand dealer group's contact centre.

Can call analytics find missed sales?+

Yes, when the scorecard checks the moments that make a sale: trade-in offered, buying timeframe asked, finance questions answered. Each miss is flagged on the call with the recording at that point.

Does it replace the contact centre or telephony?+

No. It reads the calls from the existing contact centre or from recordings; agents and queues stay as they are.

How does it work in Arabic?+

It needs speech recognition trained on Gulf dialects. Salesteq's models measure 17.4% word error rate on real BMW service calls in Gulf Arabic and placed 1st in mixed-dialect Arabic speech recognition at NADI 2026.
